這星期的翻譯歌是The Chainsmokers 和 Coldplay 合作的 Something Just Like This

The Chainsmokers這個團體在我與世隔絕很久再次catch上英語流行音樂的時候出現

然後迅速的霸佔英語流行歌的各大排行榜！！！

(唉呀反正我就是最近才開始follow英文流行歌想怎樣)

在Allen Walker帶動電子音樂之後，英語流行樂開始走向電子音樂的世代

The Chainsmokers也是跟著這波風潮起來的

我個人覺得，這種風格一開始聽蠻好聽的，久了會有點膩

（不過我還是每首都下載就是了）

這首和Coldplay 一起合作的 Something Just Like This蠻抓我耳朵的

旋律其實聽久了也是有點膩，但是歌詞能讓人再三回味

Coldplay的歌詞一向寫得很有意境，就是一個西洋版的方文山的概念

用詞文言到腦袋打結轉一圈結果翻譯出來的句子跟字面上長的完全不一樣

有的要一堆腦補想畫面，有的出處還是來自歷史典故和古典文學...

(我之前翻Viva La Vida就領教過一次了...學到不少單字啊...)

歌詞是在敘述男孩子和女孩子對感情理解上的不同

男生想要的是轟轟烈烈英雄救美式的愛情，所以總想做出什麼偉大的成就給女生看

但女生想要的，只不過是一個可以陪伴在身邊，一個能現實中能觸碰到的愛人

以女生詢問和回答的方式，讓男主角了解到最平凡的自己其實才是女生想要的

真的覺得歌詞道出了現實中很多人感情的盲點啊！！！
